What Microsoft Copilot Studio is
Copilot Studio is Microsoft's low-code environment for building copilots and agents on top of the Power Platform. It is tightly coupled to Microsoft 365, Dataverse and Azure OpenAI, and it inherits Power Platform's administration model — environments, DLP policies and tenant-level admin controls.

Copilot Studio is consumption-priced: you buy capacity or credits and every interaction draws them down, so a successful agent costs more than an ignored one. MouRio is a fixed annual subscription with no metering at all — not per agent, per user, per query or per message. Your tenant, not Microsoft's
MouRio deploys inside your own cloud subscription, VPC or data centre. Data residency, encryption keys and infrastructure stay within your enterprise boundary — including on clouds other than Azure, and including fully disconnected environments. Copilot Studio runs as a Microsoft-operated service within the Microsoft cloud.
Model strategy stays yours
MouRio routes each workload to whichever model fits — Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Bedrock, Vertex, or an open-weight model you host — and lets you change that decision later without rebuilding the agent. Copilot Studio's model layer follows Microsoft's roadmap, which is an advantage when you want that roadmap and a constraint when you don't.
Governance at the action, not just the tenant
Copilot Studio inherits Power Platform governance: environments, DLP connectors and admin policy, applied broadly. MouRio attaches a policy pack to each individual agent — which tools it may call, which actions require a named human approver, what limits apply — evaluated before every action executes.
Evidence you can hand to an auditor
Every MouRio run produces a complete, replayable execution record: inputs, retrieved context, each tool call with its arguments and result, model responses, policy evaluations and every human intervention. You can re-open a run from six months ago and walk a regulator through exactly what happened.
Latency compounds, and it compounds twice
A Copilot Studio topic is a conversational path — nodes run in sequence, and a Condition node branches to alternatives rather than running them together. Parallel work is available by calling out to a Power Automate flow. MouRio treats the workflow as a graph: independent steps are sorted into levels and each level executes concurrently, so wall-clock time is the longest path rather than the sum of every step. Combined with running inside your own network, the same agent avoids both the egress round-trip and the sequential wait.

The opposite. MouRio deploys into your own Azure subscription, authenticates against Entra ID and calls Azure OpenAI — it uses the investment you have already made.
